Vacation 2009

To Ft. Belvoir, VA and Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the Miata (5060 miles)

In Oklahoma, after it stopped raining and the fog cleared, I found myself on a very lonely 2-lane highway.  As I was cruising along I saw this and thought it interesting...

Jimmy, my son, was in the Visiting Officer's Quarters next to us at Ft. Belvoir.  This is my Grandson Charles.  He's either looking at me saying to himself, "I want to be just like him when I grow up" or he's thinking, "he's going to get into soooo much trouble for saying that..."

Charles with his Bobci Lisa displaying the typical "deer in headlights" syndrome...

This is Lexi, daughter to JP and Carrie (JP is my nephew).  She's either laughing because her Daddy told her if she does she'll get extra desert or her Mommy told her if she doesn't she's walking home.

This was just some river I saw in Arkansas and thought it was cool looking.  Unlike the motorcycle where I can pretty much stop anywhere, the Miata requires a bit more room and on 2-lane highways it's often a challenge...
